Are all UNV venues barns?
Every one of our venues features a barn setting for your wedding breakfast but no two are the same. From historic timber-framed barns like Pentney Abbey, to contemporary barn conversions like Shotesham Park, each space offers its own unique character — whether you’re drawn to rustic charm or a more modern finish.
What makes your barns different from others?
It’s the balance of rustic charm and elevated finish. Our barns are all beautifully maintained and purpose-designed for weddings, combining original features with thoughtful styling, professional lighting, and top-tier service.
Are the barns licensed for civil ceremonies?
Yes. Most of our venues offer both indoor and outdoor ceremony options. You can say “I do” in a rose garden, under a historic archway, or inside the barn itself depending on your chosen location.
What is the guest capacity for barn weddings?
Depending on the barn, we can accommodate from intimate weddings of 50 guests to larger celebrations with up to 200 seated guests and 300 evening guests. Please speak to our team for specific capacities per venue.
Is décor included or can we style the barn ourselves?
Absolutely. Our barns are a beautiful backdrop for your vision — whether you’re dreaming of boho-luxe florals, elegant candlelit tables, or rustic textures. You’re free to style the space your way, or work with our trusted suppliers.
What catering options are available for barn weddings?
Yes – and it’s one of the things our couples love most. Our in-house chefs use fresh, locally sourced produce to deliver seasonal menus tailored to you, from fine dining to feasting-style BBQs and evening bites, we have a menu that fits your day.
Do you offer packages for more relaxed or informal barn weddings?
Yes. Several of our venues offer intimate wedding packages for couples planning a smaller celebration. Whether you’re inviting 30 or 60 guests, our barns provide a beautiful setting with all the quality and experience of a full-scale wedding — just on a more personal scale.
Is there accommodation on site?
Many of our barn venues have onsite or nearby accommodation for you and your guests, including cottages, honeymoon suites, and glamping options. Please enquire for full details.
