Mount Amelia is an exquisite Grade II* listed country house perched on top of the coastal ridge in West Norfolk, commanding views over the countryside and across the sea towards Lincolnshire. Built in 1745, Ingoldisthorpe Hall is set in 30 acres of private grounds and parkland. Situated adjacent to the wonderful Royal Estate of Sandringham, it is just a stone’s throw from the stunning North Norfolk coast and all it’s attractions. With its tranquil and breath-taking position it is an ideal intimate wedding venue to celebrate your special day.

  • Amplified music permitted until 12pm inside The Hall itself only, up to 92 dB, from discos to live bands the choice is yours
  • A dedicated wedding planner to co-ordinate your wedding day and make the entire wedding planning process easier for you, including the setting up and clearing down of the venue for your big day
  • Staff, crockery and linen are charged at an additional rate


  • Licensed to hold civil ceremonies for around 70 guests inside The Hall in the airy Long Room or the ornate Drawing Room
  • Couples can also get married in the grounds of Mount Amelia on the stunning York Stone Terrace, or at a location of your choice in the grounds
  • Local Church ceremony, in the beautiful parish Church of St. Nicholas, Ingoldisthorpe which is just a 5 minute walk away

  • At Mount Amelia there is accommodation in The Hall for 18 + 2 in 7 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom
  • Included in the hire of the venue is exclusive use of The Hall accommodation and grounds for 3 nights (weekend rate, nightly extensions can be booked subject to availability
  • Weekend stay of 3 nights, check in Friday and check out Monday
  • Friends and family can stay and enjoy the time together, a weekend away to extend the celebrations
  • The Hall accommodation retains the character of a Grade II* listed house whilst being light, airy and providing all the modern conveniences you could need
  • Also on The Estate are 3 self-catering cottages, Grooms (Sleeping 4+1), Gardeners (Sleeping 4) and Ivy Cottage (Sleeping 6), these are available to hire at an additional cost
