Saturday the 22nd of August proved to be another glorious summers day at Oxnead Hall, welcoming Laura and Simon to tie the knot.
The wedding preparations started on the Friday, Laura and her bridesmaids arriving at Oxnead Hall to help decorate the venue and complete all the personal touches for the big day – it looked wonderfully elegant. Laura and her entourage then checked into Hall Cottage, with a take away and some chick flicks they enjoyed relaxing before the events began the next day.
The early morning sunshine broke through the windows of the Hall Cottage and Laura & co were busy getting ready for the ceremony in The Orangery, due to start at 12pm. Raymond Taylor – Gentleman Photographer, was busy snapping away, capturing all the moments of the day. Simon and their family and friends arrived at Oxnead Hall and took their seats in The Orangery, Laura was walked down the aisle by her father to her awaiting soon to be husband Simon.
After a beautiful ceremony, guests flowed out into The Gardens of Oxnead Hall, with a glass of Prosecco in hand to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Beyond the chatting of guests, every few minutes, enthusiastic laughter would erupt – Mark Daynes the Magician working his way throughout the groups of guests.
At 1:45pm guests flowed into The Great Barn and were treated to a delicious menu – Parfait of Chicken Livers with Toasted Brioche, Homemade Cumberland Dressing and Fresh Herb Lea Salad, followed by Pot Roasted Breast of Chicken Served with Roasted Root Vegetables, Cocotte Potatoes and a Lemon Thyme Jus and finished with a Truffle Torte with Clotted Cream.
When the wedding guests had finished their mains – they were surprised when some of the waiters turned into singers, serenading all of the guests! What a fabulous surprise. It was then time for the all important speeches, accompanied by more prosecco, rapturous applause at the touching speeches made.
The excellent cake provided by Eventiss was then cut and then it was time for the first dance.
Laura and Simon then provided their guests with a Hog Roast in the evening to keep them fuelled and dancing late into the night.
What a wonderful day for such a lovely couple, we wish you all the best in the future, continue having as much fun as ever (like in the pictures below!)
