Saturday 04th July was the day Laura and Brendan had been waiting for, the day they finally became Mr and Mrs Atkinson at The Great Barn, Manor Mews.












Laura and Brendan and all their closest family and friends arrived at Manor Mews on the Friday ready to settle into their accommodation and help put their personal touches to The Great Barn. From the bunches of flowers provided by The Flower House tied to every other chair that had been perfectly positioned in front of the registrars table, to the jars of natural flowers positioned on the cream cladding that edges The Great Barn, this fitted perfectly with their white, lemon and green colour scheme, it looked so seasonal and beautiful.












Friday evening came and the soon to be newlyweds and their wedding party who had hired all of the ample accommodation at Manor Mews started of the wedding weekend with a Hog Roast in the Manor House grounds on the Estate.

The wedding day finally rolled around, Laura and her bridesmaids got ready in The Sheepshed honeymoon cottage. With a few nerves but lots of excitement it was an enjoyable morning. A photo says a million words – and as you can see, Laura’s nearest and dearest and Brendan were taken aback with how breath-taking Laura looked. Brendan with tears in his eyes, welcomed his bride to the alter at 1pm for them to exchange their vows.

















After an emotional ceremony, guests flowed outside to the garden with their Prosecco and enjoyed a selection of delicious canapés provided by out in house chef, the particular favourite that disappeared from the trays in a flash – the miniature beef pasties. The sun shone for the entire afternoon allowing the guests to mingle and enjoy the fresh air whilst playing garden games before sitting down at 4pm for the wedding breakfast.












Many guests commented on the wonderful decorations around The Great Barn provided by The Little Lending Company and the beautiful personal touches designed by Laura and Brendan.













A delicious sharing menu was created especially for Laura and Brendan’s big day; An Antipasti starter with fresh homemade bread followed by Lemon and thyme roasted free range chicken and pan roasted fillets of Sea-Bass, with a lemon parsley and caper nut brown butter accompanied by roasted Mediterranean vegetables and a dressed mixed leaf salad.












The speeches followed shortly after main course, with a toast being made to the newlywed’s and a lot of laughter at the excellent speeches. The disco and dancing then began with a thoroughly entertaining dance off between the bridesmaids and a group of friends – this had everyone in fits of laughter, the perfect start to what was a brilliantly entertaining evening.
