Jen and Matt
This weekend we welcomed the wonderful Jen & Matt to Sedgeford Hall for their big day!
The wedding preparations started in earnest on Thursday with the arrival of our one of our recommended suppliers Rudd’s Marquees to start assembling their marquee on Sedgeford Hall’s North Lawn. The weather was sweltering – just as the forecast expected (we had been keeping an eye on this for the entire week – with the hope that the sun would be shining and allow their outside ceremony to take place on Saturday).
Thursday afternoon the marquee was filled, prepped and all ready for Jen & Matt to arrive Thursday evening with their decorations. Beautiful hand decorated jam jars filled with wonderful smelling and looking flowers provided by Michelle and Megan at Swaffham and Fakenham Florist. Their personal touches made the day even more special and their stylish choices of colours really made the marquee look gorgeous. Their hanging decorations blowing in the wind throughout the trees surrounding the marquee.
Friday came, as did the predicted rain! Continuous for the majority of the day, it freshened up the grass, perfect for the photos on Saturday. It was a family affair as their families arrived to help with the final preparations, freshly cutting the lavender for the guests place settings. Jen & Matt checked into The Hall with all their guests at 3pm, and settled in to the newly refurbished loft room at Sedgeford Hall.
Waking up to sunshine streaming through the window was a good sign Saturday and despite the wind was blowing nothing was going to dampen this day! Jen was super excited and was up early at 5:30 ready to get preparations underway.
From 1pm the guests began to arrive at The Estate, and the ushers seated them in The Walled Garden ready for the ceremony. Matt stood at the altar with a mixture of nerves and excitement waiting for Jen to walk down the aisle. Following her beautiful bridesmaids in pale pink and mauve accompanied by the flower girls and pageboy, Jen met Matt and the alter looking absolutely stunning.
Matt and Jen were then pronounced man and wife and walked hand in hand back down the aisle to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’. Arrival drinks in The South Lawn followed while Flashback Photograph played for the guests, as well as some time for photos around The Sedgeford Hall Estate.
After time to speak to all their guests and enjoy the sunshine, the guests moved into the marquee for dinner, where they enjoyed a selection delicious food, followed by some excellent and tear jerking speeches.
Then it was time to party – and boy did they all party!
We thoroughly hope that Jen and Matt and all their guests had an absolutely wonderful wedding, we loved having you here!
