Jade and Jamie a beautiful couple who were childhood sweethearts had been together 10 years when they finally got hitched on Thursday 18th August 2016 at The Great Barn at Manor Mews.
Having checked into the Manor Mews holiday cottage complex on the Monday, Jade and Jamie enjoyed a few days with their nearest and dearest prior to the big day, with golf trips, days out and lots of pampering before the big day. The weather forecast for Thursday was fantastic – 21’c all day and morning till evening sunshine – and we were not disappointed!
On Wednesday Jade, Jamie and their army of helpers readied the barn for the following days festivities, with their Hessian, Lace and Blush rustic theme perfectly implemented throughout. Hessian runners topped with jars of flowers and a beautiful vase of rustic twigs, feathers and fresh flowers from Kerry at Kirton Flower Shop. Candles filled the alcoves and jars of flowers topped the cladding around the barn, and enchanted forest feel was definitely achieved. It was a wedding full of lovely personal touches too – with some very talented members of their family creating the decorative hessian bunting, outside portable bars, table plan and 5ft illuminated love letters that all looked fantastic!
Tattersett church was the location for Jade and Jamie to say their vows, guests gathered to enjoy the morning sunshine at the cottages before everyone walked to the church together. At 1pm, Jade arrived perfectly on time, clearly excited to be meeting Jamie at the altar – she looked fantastic and so excited, with her gorgeous bridesmaids in tow it was time to tie the knot.
Post ceremony the guests wandered back to The Great Barn where they were welcomed with drinks served from their handmade wooden bar. Our delicious canapés were devoured within seconds, the Crispy Chilli Beef with Soy Dipping Sauce run away favourite – YUM! Gus Wilson a fantastic close up magician entertained the guests before it was time to sit down for the eagerly awaited speeches.
What a set of speeches it was, full of kind words, humour and the burning fire of a Manchester football rivalry! By 5pm everyone was ready to tuck into the eagerly awaited wedding breakfast.
The wedding breakfast was finished off with little bottles of jaeger – provided as the wedding favours, with nana even joining in with the fun. Lots more of Jade and Jamie’s friends arrived in the evening at 7:30 for the entertainment to kick of at 8pm. With cutting of the cake followed by the first dance of Lumineers Ho Hey, expertly performed by The Party Rockers wedding band.
It was a fantastic day for Jade and Jamie whose endless love for each other was clear for everyone to see – we wish you all the best for a fantastic future together!
